PC: Can we write apps for the iPhone, please?

While we are waiting for Mac to finish his latest home video, this is an interesting breakthrough on the iPhone:

iPhone Can Now Run Apache, Python, Vim

This is great news. What I particulary like with the slashdot post is this line:

It's fairly thin on information but if true, this will lead to good
things. Like hopefully permission from apple.

Anything else we need to ask permission for? Mac, do you need to ask Apple before answering my phone calls? Maybe Apple thinks that call from PC are bad for your health...
